Classroom volunteers help clean feeding equipment and toys, assist in joyful learning, and care for the kids we serve. If you’re interested in volunteering in our classroom, please submit this application to help us find the right class placement for your schedule and experience.

Duties include:

  • Help setting and cleaning up the classroom and motor room before and after class.
  • Make the classroom a clean, safe, and fun learning environment.
  • Support children in performing scheduled activities.
  • Be open to learning more about engaging toddlers in an early learning environment.
  • Share ideas that are developmentally appropriate for the class.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with infants, toddlers, and children with disabilities and/or developmental delays.

Mailing Support

Our insurance billing team typically mails letters on the 1st of every month, which may sometimes get pushed to the 2nd or 3rd. We are looking for two volunteers (whose schedules afford that date flexibility) to fold, stuff, and mail statements at our Bellevue campus. The estimated time commitment required for this monthly project is 6-8 hours, ideally split between two volunteers. If interested, please fill out this application form.

Bothell Campus Cleaning

Our Bothell campus needs a few helping hands! Gather a small group on any Monday or Friday of your choice and help our kids play and learn in clean, safe spaces. Tasks include:

  • Taking out expired food in the fridges (5 total) and wiping down fridge and surfaces.
  • Spraying and wiping down all surfaces (mats, equipment, etc.) and cleaning off the toys in our gyms, therapy rooms, and lobby.

Ongoing Opportunities

Administrative Support: Create therapy or classroom materials (like flip books and games) or support staff with mailing, filing, photocopying, scanning, and other projects.

Special Events & Fundraising Support: Help Kindering raise crucial funds by supporting our fundraisers throughout the year – a wide variety of activities before, during, and after events.

Community Outreach: Join a Kindering staff member at local events (such as fun runs, service fairs, etc.) to share information about Kindering with community members. Community events are typically on weekends during the spring and summer.

Group Opportunities

We are honored to have hosted volunteer groups from Mainspring Wealth Advisors, Symetra, Microsoft, Boeing, RW Baird, National Charity League, and many more. There are many opportunities for groups to help with projects such as event support, landscaping and building maintenance, staff training, and hosting fundraisers.
