2023 Night Out for Kindering raises over $17,000 for our kids!

We’re grateful to everyone who joined us at Ron & Margie’s Vintage Car Garage on August 10, 2023 for Night Out for Kindering. Over 50 guests joined us for this incredible evening with fun games and competitive bidding wars, and most importantly, it was a great wrap up to our Disability Pride Month celebrations.

Disability Pride Month is all about recognizing the history and achievements of people with disabilities, so at Kindering we were celebrating all month long (and then some).

Together, we raised over $17,000 to provide pediatric therapies, special education, family supports, and more to our kids and families.

Here are a few other highlights from our Disability Pride Month celebrations:

• The City of Renton issued a formal Proclamation recognizing Disability Pride Month for the first time + highlighted Kindering
• Our inclusive online dance-a-thon was a blast, with the help of the national nonprofit Stance on Dance and the local Adaptive Inclusive Movement (AIM)
• And perhaps most exciting of all — Kindering alumni and volunteer of over 10 years, Andrew Young, was featured in Woodinville Weekly along with his mother Nancy! Andrew graduated in 1991 (when Kindering was still Merrywood School) and came back decades later to volunteer with us. Read Andrew’s full story here.
