2026 Night Out for Kindering raises over $11,000!

Huge thank you to everyone who joined us at The Winemakers Reserve in Woodinville on July 23, 2026, for Night Out for Kindering. Together we celebrated Disability Pride Month and Kindering’s children and families with powerful community stories, fine wine, great food, and competitive bidding wars!

We raised over $11,000 to provide pediatric therapies, special education, family supports, and more for our children and families.

Every July, we celebrate Disability Pride Month to honor the history, achievements, and ongoing fight for equity within the disability community. This month commemorates the passing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) on July 26, 1990—a landmark moment in the movement toward inclusion and accessibility. 1 in 4 U.S. adults lives with a disability, yet barriers and discrimination remain. That’s why we uplift the voices and stories that reflect resilience, pride, and possibility—not just in July, but all year long.

Here are the highlights from our Disability Pride Month celebrations:

• We visited the cities of Bellevue, Bothell, Issaquah, Kenmore, Renton, Sammamish, Woodinville to accept official Disability Pride Proclamations. Thank you to all the mayors, city council members, and city staff who supported this effort – and to all the Kindering staff, families, and parent advocates who joined us!
• We invited the community to share why Disability Pride is important to them, how they celebrate and feel Disability Pride, and what inclusion & belonging mean to them. It was very moving reading and sharing these powerful statements about the importance of challenging stereotypes, feeling valued, recognizing strength, and much more.
• We celebrated in person and in style with our annual summer fundraiser, Night Out for Kindering. Shout-out to Jillian Wallace, our keynote speaker, who is a Kindering parent and disability advocate. In their speech, they shared the importance of inclusion and the ripple effect it has on making our entire community a safe, inclusive space where everyone is welcome.
