Baby Steps Infant Play Group

Baby Steps is a caregiver-child play and reflection group for infants and their families designed to provide caregivers the opportunity to:

  • Connect with other families with children in similar age groups
  • Reflect on the experiences of caregiving in a warm and supportive group setting
  • Experience shared joy and play with their child
  • Learn about the special role they have in the social emotional development of their child and ask questions

This group is facilitated by an Early Support provider who provides a warm and supportive environment for caregivers and children to connect, reflect, play, and learn.

Caregivers stay with their child during the Baby Steps class. Caregivers are expected to actively participate each week as a key part of co-creating this learning community- by trying out new play skills with their child and engaging in support and reflection.

We ask families to bring a blanket to class and anything else that may be supportive to yourself and your child’s comfort level during our class.
