ParentChild+

ParentChild+ is an intensive school readiness program for children ages 2 to 4 and their parents. ParentChild+ is a free program that helps families who have not had access to education and economic opportunities access high-quality early learning services and prepare their young children for school by enhancing language, literacy, social-emotional development, and strengthening the parent-child relationship. Trained Home Visitors demonstrate to parents in a non-directive way, showing important parenting skills, positive verbal interaction, and play in order to enhance their child’s development. Program components include:

  • Twice-weekly 30-minute visits with a trained Home Visitor
  • Program runs for 23 weeks from October to June
  • Each child receives a free book or educational toy every program week
  • Parents receive coaching and modeling to support their child’s development
