Kindering’s 31st Annual Auction Gala Raises Over $575,000!

On March 1^st, we hosted our 31^st Annual Auction Gala at the Bellevue Hyatt Regency, attended by over 300 guests.

Together, we raised over $575,000 to provide critical therapies and services for children with developmental delays, disabilities, and complex behavioral and medical needs, and their families.

Liz Dueweke served as the emcee for the event. Liz has spent nearly 20 years in TV news, reporting all over the country, but heart is in the Pacific Northwest, where she spent a decade delivering impactful stories to diverse audiences. Currently working at the Allen Institute, she also shared her connection with Kindering’s mission through her love for the science behind our services.

The gala was chaired by Kindering parents, Stephanie and Michael Benedict aka Dillon’s mom and dad, who shared their Kindering journey on stage while flanked by their two older kids — Lacey and Charlotte — and holding sweet Dillon in their arms. In their speech, they shared: “We’re often asked – ‘When will Dillon get better?’ The answer is that Dillon will never ‘get better.’ That’s because he’s already doing great just the way he is.”

The evening program included a video featuring Dillon and the Benedicts. 2-year-old Dillon continues to benefit from many services with Kindering, including feeding, physical, and occupational therapies, and our integrated Family Co-Op classroom.
