KidsClinic: Occupational Therapy

Our skilled occupational therapists help children succeed in their daily lives across settings.  Occupational therapists address delays or concerns in the areas of fine and gross motor skills, cognitive skills, social-emotional development, executive functioning and self-help skills.

Sessions are tailored to each child and family, and can target a variety of skills including:

  • Relationship-based therapies with options for DIR/floortime approach
  • Social emotional support
  • Support with sensory and/or emotional regulation at home and other natural environments.
  • Sleep support
  • Feeding therapy
    • Oral motor skills
    • Expanding diets through sensory exploration of food
    • Swallowing safety (dysphagia)
  • Fine motor development/ handwriting
  • Play skills/ Social Participation
  • Assisting parents with understanding behavioral responses in various situations and/or environments
  • Executive skill strengthening, modifications, and/or accommodations as appropriate.
  • Toileting skills & potty training via parent coaching
  • Sensory processing (visual, tactile, auditory, smell/taste, movement, body position, and internal signals)
  • Self-care skills (ex. dressing, toothbrushing)
