Setting up a recurring gift makes it easy to support Kindering AND provides a steady stream of income for the programs and services our families count on. By donating on a monthly or quarterly basis, you play a key role in helping Kindering ensure that no child in need is ever turned away.

Other Ways to Give

Gifts of all sizes and types provide vital operating and in-kind support, and help us meet the ever-changing needs of the communities we serve. There are so many ways to support our families, staff, and ongoing work.

Donate by mail: Checks made out to Kindering can be mailed to our Bellevue office: 16120 NE 8th Street Bellevue, WA 98008

Donate over the phone: Please call Maleehah Tahir at (425) 289-4952 to make a gift or pledge payment using your credit card.

Donate stock: For more information about donating shares of stock to Kindering, please call Alison Morton at (425) 653-4331.

Make a gift through your IRA: The Individual Retirement Account (IRA) Charitable Rollover allows individuals 70 1/2 years of age or older to donate up to $100,000 from their IRAs directly to charities, without having to count the distributions as taxable income. Bequests and planned gifts: Bequests and other testamentary gifts by generous alumni families and community supporters are a significant source of financial support for Kindering. You can make a specific gift to Kindering of cash, securities or other investment through your will, codicil, or trust instrument. You can also designate Kindering as the beneficiary of all or part of the remainder of your estate or trust after the payment of estate-related expenses, other bequests, or following the death of a spouse or other primary beneficiaries.

Another way to support our mission in your estate plan is to name Kindering as a beneficiary of your retirement plan or life insurance policy. Estate gifts are very meaningful and advance the long-term financial health of Kindering’s programs and services.

Matching gifts: Double the impact of your contribution to Kindering with a matching gift from your employer! Companies that have recently matched employee donations to Kindering include Microsoft, Boeing, eBay, the Gates Foundation, Puget Sound Energy, Nordstrom, and Safeco. For more information on matching your donation, please contact your human resources department. Many employers also make donations when you volunteer at Kindering.

Shop at Fred Meyer: You can help Kindering earn donations just by shopping with your Fred Meyer Rewards Card! Click here to sign up for Fred Meyer’s Community Rewards Program by linking your rewards card to Kindering; search for us by name or by our nonprofit number, 89099. A portion of every purchase you make will be donated to Kindering and you’ll still get all the benefits of the Rewards Program.

In-kind donations: Gifts of toys, equipment, books, etc. are always tremendously helpful for therapy sessions and also help Kindering offset our general operating expenses. Click here to see the items on our wish list and donate items that we currently need.
